Guiding Mobility in São Paulo
In 2024, as part of my Master’s final project in Design Thinking, I initiated Viziro, focusing on rethinking urban mobility in São Paulo. The city faces major challenges, with congestion and inefficiencies affecting millions of daily commuters. Collaborating with local experts, I applied a design thinking methodology to explore how digital design and smart urban planning could improve transportation. The project aimed to create user-centered, innovative solutions for a more accessible and sustainable mobility experience.

Context
São Paulo faces major urban mobility challenges, with commuters spending an average of 12 days per year in traffic, resulting in an annual cost of approximately 69.4 billion reais = 12 millions $ (7.8% of the local GDP).
Additionally, motor vehicles account for 96% of carbon monoxide, 73% of hydrocarbons, and 65% of nitrogen oxides in the air. In 2024, wildfires further worsened air quality, making São Paulo one of the most polluted cities globally.
In response to these challenges, Viziro was created to rethink urban mobility in São Paulo, focusing on reducing traffic, pollution, and improving overall quality of life through innovative, user-centered design solutions.
